Meet Sequoia Ayala

Founder. Principal Attorney

A mover and a shaker, Sequoia brings more than a decade of experience in advocacy and facilitating change for and with communities across Georgia.

Sequoia founded Ayala Family Law in 2017 out of a commitment to expanding access to quality legal services and helping families in transition through compassionate counsel and advocacy.

Whether resolving a matter through negotiation or advocating in the courtroom, Sequoia approaches each case with strategic judgment, compassion, and a deep respect for her clients’ autonomy and dignity. For her, practicing family law is ultimately about helping people navigate difficult moments with greater clarity and agency.

Sequoia earned her Juris Doctorate from American University Washington College of Law and a master’s degree in International Development from the American University School of International Service. She is also a proud graduate of the University of Georgia (goooo Dawgs!). Fluent in English, Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese, she is licensed to practice law in the state of Georgia. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family,singing, dancing són, and admiring her plant babies in her home garden.
